Perfume Review: Colère d'épices, Esteban Parfums

Esteban Parfums é uma perfume house localizada em Paris , cuja marca percorre uma história de paixão de Estéban, seu criador, que incluí em seus aromas uma experiência de vida , olfativa e inspiracional marcada pelas influências das civilizações mediterrânea e japonesa em sua linha de perfumes para corpo, banho e casa, cobrindo um abrangente portfólio que permite experiências aromáticas em vários ambientes e contextos. Colère d'épices (2007) é parte da coleção Les Couleurs , que em francês significa, cores. Esta coleção relaciona a explosão das cores e dos aromas que despertam os sentidos e, consequentemente, os estados de humor. Esta fragrância leva um mix de especiarias frescas, cardamono, gengibre e âmbar e almíscar em um bouquet floral o qual está em terceiro plano. Colère d'épices tem uma virtude olfativa que é bem peculiar em perfumes que contém especiarias: ele é um especiado fresco que mantém o frescor mas também destaca o poder aromático das ervas, como cheirar , antes de degustar, uma salada mediterrânea com verduras bem verdes, temperada com um fio de azeite que tenta aquecer as especiarias, mas que não consegue. As especiarias como cardamono, manjericão e pimenta entram pelas narinas e a cor verde fica mais forte e luminosa porque elas são balanceadas com o sumo líquido refrescante de limão que cobre estas folhas suculentas, misturando-as às ervas aromáticas e vegetais do mediterrâneo e intensificando a explosão de um sabor imaginário que se forma na memória olfativa.

Embora não se cita no mix do perfume o manjericão e pimenta, as lembranças da cozinha mediterrânea são lembradas através do efeito "spicy" destas notas. O gengibre, mesmo que tímido, junta-se ao mix para refrescá-lo e purificar o olfato, como o aroma que penetra as narinas e evoca uma limpeza espiritual e física e, desta forma , relaxar também a mente em meio à cólera das especiarias. Surreais folhas verdes de manjericão misturadas ao vermelho da pimenta, que lembram as cores da bandeira italiana se misturam ao efeito cristalino de uma base almiscarada que equilibra o perfume oriental amadeirado, resgatando também uma paisagem japonesa, um traço do oriente, de outro país. O frescor torna-se um luxo e, após um banho de ôfuro borbulhante com pétalas de flores que cobrem a pele macia de um corpo em busca de paz e também a base harmônica de âmbar, chega o alimento físico e da alma, um prato mediterrâneo, a paisagem de um lago em frente à sacada, a cólera das especiarias torna-se repouso e tranquilidade.

Escolhi esta fragrância de Estéban porque é a que me parece, dentre as que conheço, a que mais se aproxima do microcosmo formado por estas influências do países do mar mediterrâneo e suas ervas aromáticas evocando sublime sabor com as leves imagens que me levam a admirar a cultura japonesa em seu estado mais bucólico e refinado; tudo isso acrescido do efeito relaxante , muito clean trazido por algumas fragrâncias de casas como James Heeley, L'artisan Parfumeur, Dyptique e Miller Harris as quais também valorizam este lado "wellness" do cuidar do estar em casa, com um aroma que penetre todas as dimensões físicas , mentais e espirituais de mansidão e comforto.



Colère d'épices , a partir do próprio nome, traz também uma oposição que é a questão da ira das especiarias x o frescor e leveza da fragrância. Normalmente notas especiarias aquecem o perfume, tornando mais misterioso, pesado e quente, no entanto aqui elas atuam mas depois adormecem na base. Parece-me que há um tipo de jogo no qual as especiarias, mesmo sendo um importante jogador, cedem no jogo porque se rendem a esta paz aromática que se faz e que, mesmo assim, ainda precisa delas. Esta é a beleza do perfume em sua contradição, o movimento de uma preconcebida fúria intensa que, na verdade, é mansidão.

Esteban Parfums is a perfume house located in Paris, whose brand explores a passion story of Estéban, its creator, who includes in his aromas a life experience, olfactory and inspirational remarkable by mediterranean and japanese influences in his perfume line for the body, bath and home cares, covering an wide range which allows aromatic experiences in many environments and contexts. Colère d'épices (2007) is part of the collection Les Couleurs , that is in french means colors. This colllection connects the explosion of the colors and the aromas which raise the senses and, consequentely, the humor states. This fragrance features a mix of fresh spicies, cardamon, ginger and ambar and musk in one bouquet flower which is in the third plan. Colère d'épices has one olfactory virtue very peculiar in the perfumes which have spicies: it is a spicy fresh one which keeps the freshness but also makes stand the herbal aromatic power out, as smelling, before eating, a mediterranean salad with very green leaves, tempered with a drop of olive-oil that try to warm the spicies up but can't do it. The spicies as cardamon, basil and pepper penetrate the nose and the green-color becomes stronger and luminous because they are well-balanced with the juicy cooling lemmon that covers these succulent leaves, mixing them to the aromatic mediterranean herbs and vegetables and intensifying the explosion of a imaginary flavor which is placed in the olfactive memory.



Although it is not mentioned in the perfume mix basil and pepper, the memories of the mediterranean cuisine are remembered through their "spicy" effect. The ginger, even is very timid in the fragrance, joins to the mix to refresh it and purify the olfaction, as the aroma which penetrates the nose and evokes the spiritual and physical cleaness and, in certain way, relaxes also the mind in the middle of this fervour of the spicies. Surreal green basil leaves mixed to the red of the pepper remind of the colors of the italian flag and, when mixed also to the crystalline effect of the musky base balance together this oriental woody fragrance, accomplishing this japanese landscape, a trace of the Orient, of other country. The freshness become a luxus and, after a bubbling immersion bath with flowers petails which cover the soft skin of a body in search of peace and also an ambar harmony, so comes the body and the soul aliment, the landscape of a lake in front of the terrace, the fervour of the spicies becomes the repose and the tranquility.



I selected this fragrance of Estéban because it is , among those that I know, what seems to be closer to the microcosm built by the countries of the mediterranean sea and its aromatic herbs evoking the sublime flavor with the light images that take me to admire the japanese culture in its bucolic and refined states; everything added to a relaxing effect, very clean brought by some fragrances from the houses as James Heeley, L'artisan Parfumeur, Dyptique e Miller Harris which also value this "wellness" , the side of taking care of being at home, with an aroma which floats in all the physical, mental and spiritual dimensions of tameness and comfort.



Colère d'épices , since its name, brings also one opposition which is the question between the rage of the spicies x the freshness and the lightness of the fragrance. Normally the spicies notes warm the perfume, becoming it more mysterious, weighter and warmer, however here they develop a role and then they sleep on the base. As it seems there is a type of game in which the spicies , even they are an important player, concede to the game in order to achieve an aromatic peace . This is the beauty of this fragrance in its contradiction, a movement of a preconceived intense anger which is, indeed, the calmness.

Perfume Review: Infusion D'iris(For women/feminino), Prada

Prada, mais uma vez acerta o conceito de clássico. Com matérias primas simples e de grande poder, chega ao patamar dos perfumes imortais. Infusion D'iris, antes de qualquer coisa já nasceu clássico, dentre tantos outros existentes em nosso saturado mercado.


Cabe-me tão somente aplaudir a nose Daniela Roche, que com primor e muitas horas de trabalho deu vida à um perfume andrógeno, apartado de definições meramente sexuais, assim como eram os perfumes há séculos atrás.



Partindo de uma saída simples, composta de mandarina e neroli que juntas causam uma sensação de frescor "chic" e contido, o perfume evolui para a brancura das flores de laranjeira e um acorde modernizado de íris, reconhecido por muitos como empoeirado. O diferencial de Infusion D'iris é o caráter brilhantemente magnífico, causado pela mandarina, neroli e flores de laranjeira que envolvem juntas a íris, gradualmente a evolução continua, nesta fase as notas de íris sofrem uma mutação, abrindo espaço para os acordes de incenso e cedro, aquecidos pelo benjoim, que culminam em um fundo ainda mais espetacular que todo o resto do perfume.

Simples, balanceado, marcante e sofisticado, são estes os adjetivos que me vem à mente quando sinto Infusion. A maior de todas as belezas deste perfume gira em torno do acorde de íris, há anos atrás esquecido pela perfumaria, tal acorde pode ser repugnante e insuportável, como também pode tornar-se sublime e confortável.


Infusion D'iris é como o som da mais bela Ópera Bel Canto, doce, estridente e angelical como a voz da "tigresa" Maria Callas, uma mulher que em seu tempo superou obstáculos e que antes de qualquer coisa já nasceu estrela, uma estrela que se auto lapidou, um exemplo de perseverança e luta por sonhos, dona de uma voz inconfundível e invejada por inúmeras cantoras até hoje, responsável por frases fortes e diretas, onde não há espaço para meio termo, ou se ama ou se odeia. Neste caso amo tanto o perfume quanto Maria Callas, digna de portar tal aroma.

Infusion D'iris is as the sound of the beautiful Opera Bel Canto, sweet, strident and angelical as the voice of the "tigress" Maria Callas, a woman who , in her time, overcame all the obstacles and before anything had already been born as a star, a star that lapidated herself, an example of perseverance and fight for her dreams, owner of a distinctive voice and envied by inumerous singers ntil now, responsible for strong and direct phrases, where there is no space for moderations, people only love her or hate her. In this case, I love the fragrance as well as Maria Callas, deserving of wearing this aroma.

212 Sexy feminino é uma das fragrâncias do legado perfumístico da fashionista de Nova York Carolina Herrera, uma das maisons mais respeitadas pelo público feminino que preza pela elegância um pouco mais clássica de poderosas e emancipadas mulheres, mas também com nuances modernas de curvas e tecidos leves de influência "bridal" que relembra corpos em organzas, recortes fluídos com babados e longílineos os quais valorizam o corpo moldado de uma diva real , cosmpolita e moderna.


A fragrância floral oriental foi lançada em 2005, uma criação do querido Alberto Morillas, um dos perfumistas mais versáteis na criação de perfumes para as grandes grifes luxuosas. Seus perfumes têm um apelo sensual e, em sua maioria, são bem vendidos e acabam caindo no gosto tanto de homens como de mulheres. No caso de 212 Sexy feminino, o mix de bergamota, pimenta rosa, mandarina, gardenia, algodão doce, almíscar, almíscar branco,baunilha e madeira de sândalo, existe um apelo muito peculiar para se conseguir em uma fragrância, sem infantilizá-la que é: equilibrar a sensualidade e a doçura , ou seja, o lado mulher e menina, a qual considero a fronteira tênue que faz uma mulher ser realmente marcante. Uma fronteira rara que um perfume pode desvendar ou ressaltar.

Insanely, the aroma let a trace of a coquette seduction, the woman makes the mystery if prevails in her the woman or the girl, practically 212 Sexy reinforces to be a fragrance for mature lolitas, exhaling the tension that is to join the extremes of this pleasure.

Perfume Review: Vanille Sauvage de Madagascar, La Maison de la Vanille

Com tantos perfumes abaunilhados no mercado, fica difícil ser criativo com um perfume que não se torne mais um pudim de baunilha leitoso dentro de um frasco de fragrância; no entanto La Maison de la Vanille consegue, através de alguns produtos de sua linha, diversificar a baunilha com surpreendentes nuances aromáticas de diferentes notas que circulam ao redor desta grande protagonista. Esta característica de ter uma baunilha, recorrente em todos os La Maison de la Vanille mas que ainda assim deixa outras notas atuarem é o mesmo que ocorre com aquela base que é repetida na maioria dos Thierry Mugler.



Depois de provar algumas fragrâncias da casa, tenho constatado uma característica relevante em seus perfumes. Normalmente, a baunilha tem um aroma bem peculiar que, quem é fã dos perfumes da casa,irá constatar imediatamente. Esta baunilha é intensa, sedosa e consideravelmente parece que foi misturada com farelo de frutas secas como amêndoa e avelã, mais especificamente, a algo que remeta a idéia de grãos ou sementes macias, que tem um lado negro como o da tonka bean. No entanto, continua sendo uma baunilha forte, de personalidade a ponto de cubrir a versatilidade aromática de uma doçura que não seja pueril, mas que sirva para pessoas maduras e que amam perfumes abaunilhados.


Vanille Sauvage de Madagascar, pertecente à família amadeirado oriental, abre notas de bergamota, coriandro, tomilho,lavanda, gerânio, mandarina, baunilha, sândalo, incenso e vétiver. Como o próprio nome diz, a inspiração é focar uma das facetas da baunilha selvagem que cresce nas regiões exóticas de Madagascar. Esta baunilha é bem mais fresca em comparação à escura de Vanille Noire du Mexique e,particulamente, acho a evolução mais rica em sinuosidades.

Sauvage abre uma saída extremamente interessante que cria um torpor olfativo totalmente "green". Um aroma triunfal de lavanda, refrescante e inusitada que chega a transmitir a natureza selvagem para a memória. Você fica impressionado quando esta lavanda mistura-se à baunilha, que sobe à superfície da pele tortuosamente como troncos de árvores moldados pela natureza e, de repente, surge a beleza dos gerânios que me fazem lembrar dos gerânios de Covet de Sarah Jessica Parker. Esta primeira fase é a melhor fase de Vanille Sauvage de Madagascar. Esta fase é como imaginar-me mirando plantações de baunilha como desejo iminente de tocar suas sementes. Eu ainda não as enxergo direito, nem sinto totalmente o seu poder olfativo, mas um encanto inicial por esta paisagem magnífica faz-me guiar para este toque. A lavanda e o gerânio insinua um vento fresco das folhas que quando misturados a esta baunilha amendoada cria ondas aromáticas que agradam através dos opostos: o frescor e o calor de uma paisagem tropical.

A segunda fase é comfortável ; um odor mais forte da baunilha autêntica de La Maison de la Vanille, a ponto de pensar que estou deitada em um lençol imaginário e muito sedoso que se extende em uma paisagem vegetal das ilhas de Madagascar. O frescor ainda é evidente em comparação a outras baunilhas, no entanto, as notas iniciais e mais herbais abrem espaço às madeiras como o vetiver e sândalo os quais pintam a imagem de uma natureza que tem um calor a proporcionar, como abraça-la por inteiro. Embora existam notas de especiarias como coriandro e tomilho assim como incenso, as especiarias entram no mix para temperar aromaticamente esta baunilha como um aroma mais "oriental", encorpando o lado mais dark, mais africano desta linda ilha de Madacasgar. O incenso, embora não tão perceptível com relação a outras notas, também contribui com este exotismo das terras da África, dando ao perfume um componente de aura misteriosa.



Vanille Sauvage de Madagascar tem um tipo de "benção" especial como uma poção abaunilhada para perfumar o corpo, dócil e selvagem. Extrai a beleza selvagem e verde das terras africanas longíquas em um mix de notas que mescla o frescor da natureza vegetal com o calor da natureza humana, que juntos, tornam-se um só. Aqui e aí, uma só baunilha em ti.

Analysing so many vanillic fragrances in the market, it is very difficult to find a creative perfume in this category which does not be a milky vanilla pudding in a fragrance bottle ; however La Maison de la Vanille can, through some products of its range , diversify the vanilla note with some surprising aromatic accords with others different notes that are harmonized with this great fragrant protagonist. This characteristic of having a recurrent vanilla in all the La Maison de la Vanille, but even so having others notes is as what happens with the repetitive base in the most of Thierry Mugler fragrances.



After sampling some fragrances of this perfume house, I have realized one important feature on their perfumes. Normally, the vanilla has a peculiar scent which, for who is fan of their fragrances, will automatically perceive that this scent belongs to one La Maison de la Vanille. This vanilla is intense, soft and has also a notable aroma which seems a bran of dry fruits as crisp almond and hazelnuts, more especifically, something that remind us of soft grains or seeds which have a dark side as the tonka bean smell. Nevertheless , the vanilla continues strong, with personality that covers the aromatic versatility of a sweetness that is not puerile, but that wears well mature people that love vanillic perfumes.



Vanille Sauvage de Madagascar belongs to the oriental woody family and opens notes of bergamot, coriander, thyme, lavender, geranium, mandarin, vanilla , sandalwood, incense and vetiver. As the fragrance name confirms, its inspiration is focused on one of the wild vanilla facets which grows in the exotic regions of Madagascar. This vanilla is very fresh in comparison to the darkness of Vanille Noire du Mexique and , in a particular way, I think that its development is richer in accords and sinuosities.

Sauvage has a extremely interesting opening that creates a type of olfactory torpor totally "green". A triumphal aroma of a refreshing and strange aroma which transmites the wild nature to the memory. You are impressed when this lavender is mixed up to the vanilla which rises to the skin surface , in a tortuous manner as tree trunks which are moulded by the nature and, suddenly, the beauty of the geranium appears and remind me of the geranium of Covet of Sarah Jessica Parker fragrance. This first phase is the best phase of Vanille Sauvage de Madagascar.This phase is like to imagine me looking at vanilla plantations as the imminent desire of touch their seeds. I can't see them right , neither I feel their complete olfactory power, but the initial enchantment for this magnific landscape makes me be guided for this touch. The lavender and the geranium hint the fresh wind of the leaves which , when mixed to this almondy vanilla, create aromatic waves that please both opposites, the freshness and the warmth of a tropical landscape.



The second phase is confortable, the smell of vanilla is stronger and the authentic one of the La Maison de la Vanille, ready to make me imagine that I lie down in an imaginary and soft sheet which is extended on a vegetal landscape of Madagascar islands. The freshness still is evident in comparison to others vanillas, however, the initial notes and more herbalistic opens space to the woodies as vetiver and sandalwood which picture the image of one nature that also has warmth to be given, as hugging the nature. Even though there are notes of spicies as coriander and thyme as well as incense, the spicies are in the mix to temper aromatically this vanilla making it a more "oriental" aroma,involving it in a darker way, more African. The incense , although is not very perceptible as others notes, also contributes to the exoticism of the Africa lands, giving to the perfume a component of misterious aura.



Vanille Sauvage de Madagascar has a type of special "blessing" as a vanillic potion to perfume the body, sweet and wild. It extracts the wild and green beauty of distant exotic lands which mix the freshness of the herbal nature and the warmth of human nature, that together, become just one . Here and there, one unique vanilla on you.

Perfume Review: Dirty English (for men), Juicy Couture

Não é tão novo para nossos narizes e olhos a marca Juicy Couture desde que seu perfume feminino tornou-se líder de vendas, provavelmente pela indiscutível beleza de sua embalagem, pois é um perfume que em minha opinião olfativa não possui nada que o torne diferente, um aroma ralo e insosso com um suave cheiro de rosas e nada mais. A marca continua se enveredando por caminhos aromáticos tortuosos, mas infelizmente não é nada fácil se lançar à criação de um perfume conceito. De nada adianta ter um frasco de encher os olhos, quando o conteúdo não passa da banalidade costumeira.

Dirty English foi lançado em meados de 2008, o senti na época de seu lançamento, mas depois de amadurecer minhas impressões sobre ele, somente hoje me senti à vontade para expressar minha real opinião sobre o referido perfume. As notas de sua composição são extremamente interessantes e densas, por este motivo imaginei algo mais criativo no universo da perfumaria masculina. Laranjas, bergamotas, madeira de ágar, ebony, sândalo, vetiver e couro, notas que bem dosadas e trabalhadas em acordes e entonações diferentes poderiam ter dado um ótimo perfume para homens, mas o desenrolar dessa composição não acontece dessa maneira, pois ele não possui uma faceta se quer que nos faça desejá-lo como o futuro perfume a ser comprado.

Quanto a evolução, as facetas frescas de laranja amarga e bergamota, são permanentes, e estão lá do início ao fim do perfume, posteriormente Dirty English abre um amadeirado estático como um bloco de madeira seca ao sol, algo entre Tumulte e o café encontrado em B*men, porém a faceta chave que poderia ter sido bem trabalhada é a madeira de agár, que infelizmente fica insossa e nos remete a um leve fantasma de M7, por tais motivos só posso fortalecer ainda mais minha impressão negativa quanto a este perfume.


Ele na verdade faz um mix entre Tumulte de Lacroix, B*men de Mugler e M7 de Yves Saint Laurent, por esse motivo é muito difícil que eu ou você como consumidores achemos algo realmente novo neste perfume. Como também não é nada fácil criticar um perfume, pois imaginemos quantas e quantas horas foram necessárias para criar e dosar as notas, posteriormente ir às provas e eventuais modificações, criação do frasco e finalmente campanha publicitária.

Mas infelizmente tenho que primar pela sinceridade e dizer que Dirty English é apenas mais um em sua família olfativa, linear, fixo e nada inovador; mais parece uma colônia que teve seus custos reduzidos para chegar antes ao mercado, de certo, há coisas bem piores em prateleiras por todo o mundo, mas não vale nem 10% do que cobram por ele, nem nunca valerá.

There is no new for our noses and eyes when we remind of the brand Juicy Couture , since its female perfume became sales leader, probably because of unquestionable packaging beauty. Well then in my olfactory opinion, the perfume has anything that makes it different, it has a diluted and tasteless aroma with a light smell of roses and anything more. The brand continues to going toward to these tortuous ways but unfortunately it is not easy to release an conceptual fragrance, no matter how be. Moreover, that is no good , having a bottle which let the eyes brighting but its content is always the same banality.

Dirty English was released in 2008. I smelt it during its release but after I prefer to mature my impressions about it. Only today I feel comfortable to express my real opinion about this fragrance. The notes of this composition are extremely interesting and dense, because of this reason, I imagined something creativer in the universe of the male perfumery. Orange, bergamots, agarwood, ebony, sandalwood, vetiver and leather, notes that when well-dosed and worked in accords and different modulations may have produced an excellent fragrance for men, but in the progress of this composition anything happens , because Dirty English does not have any good facet that make us to desire its as a next purchase.

About its development, the fresh facets of bitter orange and bergamot are permanent and they are there from the beginning to the end of the perfume, later Dirty English opens a static woody, as a dry woody block exposed to the sun , something between Tumulte and the coffee found in B*men, however the key facet that should be better worked is the agarwood which unfortunately keeps tasteless and reminds us of the ghost of M7, for these reasons I have only to reinforce my negative impression about this perfume.


The fact is that this perfume is a mix of Tumulte (Lacroix), B *men (Mugler) and M7 (Yves Saint Laurent), because of it is very difficult that I or you as consumers find something new in this perfume. As well as it is not difficult to criticize a fragrance because we start imagine how many hours and hours were needed to compose and dose the multiple notes, later test it and do some changes, create the bottle and finally the advertisement campaign.

But unfortunately I have to value the frankness and say that Dirty English is only one more in its olfactory family, linear stable and uncreative that seems more a cologne which had its costs reduced before be introduced in the market, the right fact is that there are worse things on the shelves all over the world which don't worth not even 10% of what is charged and never will be worth.

Perfume Review: Dior Homme EDT, Dior

Dior Homme(Dior) foi criado em 2005 pelo perfumista Olivier Polge que teve um desafiador trabalho nesta fragrância. Primeiro porque Dior Homme abre como nota principal a íris, muito pouco usada na perfumeria masculina em função de seu caráter atalcado e, por causa disso, vítima do preconceito daqueles que odeiam, em suas peles, cheiro que lembre talco como Guerlain Shalimar. Segundo porque Dior Homme tem um aroma sutil e delicado, não feminino mas prefiro dizer que não é forte e selvagem. Na verdade, há uma máscara sensível e sofisticada na fragrância que, de forma versátil, pode ser usado por ambos os sexos.


A fragrância é uma combinação de íris coberta por notas de lavanda, sálvia, cardamono, cacau, vetiver, âmbar, patchouli e couro e o conceito é baseado em um perfume para homens que representam a nova geração: clássica e também moderna, mantendo o equilíbrio entre a tradição e a vanguarda daqueles que são perfumadamente elegantes, não somente quando usam uma fragrância como Dior Homme mas também que têm um comportamento de pura e excepcional sofisticação.

Dior Homme abre um cheiro fresco e atalcado, muito bem misturado que cria um tensão entre a leveza de homens naturais e a sobriedade de homens formais. Cheirando o primeiro vestígio da fragrância, a íris está lá, tentando cobrir a pele com pó, querendo torná-la séria e tão envelhecida como os clássicos. No entanto, algumas notas, principalmente a lavanda e sua propriedade mais relaxante e a sálvia e cardamono que temperam a fragrância trazem um charme espontâneo para homens , um cheiro contemporâneo e macio com tons especiados e incensados que equilibram a força das notas amadeiradas da base e a discreta lisura do cacau.

É importante mencionar que quando a íris é envolvida pela lavanda, esta combinação separa e une, contraditoriamente, o poder de Dior Homme. A lavanda relaxa a formalidade mas não coloca o homem como em um universo esportivo, focado em cheiros cítricos e muito informais, logo ela colabora para o classicismo da fragrância, evitando o efeito secundário da íris. A íris também, com esta combinação, carrega o odor da pele para um acorde acourado, não rústico como esta nota normalmente é em outras fragrâncias baseadas em couro.

Não há dúvidas que Dior Homme é uma fragrância bem feita em comparação os perfumes masculinos tolamente criados e lançados na indústria perfumística. O melhor de tudo é que a fragrância mantém a lógica implementação entre o perfume por ele mesmo e a descrição do designer. Dior Homme men tem uma beleza clássica e uma atitude clássica atualizadas para os novos séculos. Isso me faz lembrar de homens jovens e maduros emergentes que estão conectados às necessidades pessoais e de negócios dos tempos modernos e, por causa disso, são bem sucedidos em tudo o que trabalham e investem ativamente. Este comportamente valioso e atrativo faz com que as mulheres se interessem por eles como um perfume especial no ar.

Finalmente, a fragrância alcança a idéia de ser um clássico moderno para a contemporaneidade porque a íris é bem mesclada a estas nuances aromáticas orientais e frescas advindas da criatividade de Polge e acaba vestindo homens como se eles fossem herdeiros de homens vintage inesquecíveis como Clark Gable. Se você, homem moderno, não dá a mínima para aqueles que criticam a velha e boa íris, disfrute de Dior Homme. Eu o recomendo!

Dior Homme(Dior) was created in 2005 for the parfumer Olivier Polge who has a challeging work on this fragrance. Firstly, because Dior Homme features as main note the Iris, not very used in the male perfumery and very known for its powdery fragrant characteristic and, because of it, victim of some prejudice for those who really hate some powder smell on the skin which remind them of fragrances as Guerlain Shalimar . Second because Dior Homme has a subtle and delicate scent, not feminine but I prefer to say that is not strongly wild. Indeed, there is a sophisticated and sensitive mask on this fragrance that is very versatile for both sexies.


The fragrance is a combination of iris enveloped by notes of lavender, sage, cardamon,cacao,amber, vetiver, patchouli and leather and the concept is based on a perfume for men who represent the new generation: classic and also modern, keeping the balance between the tradition and the avant-guarde of those who are smelly elegant, not only wearing a fragrance as Dior Homme but also having a behaviour of pure and outstanding sophistication.

Dior Homme features a fresh and powdery scents , very well-blended, that create a tension between the lightness of the natural men and sobriety of formal men. Smelling the first vestige of the fragrance, the iris is there, trying to cover with dust the skin and make it very serious and as old as the classics. However some notes , mainly lavender and its relaxing property and sage and cardamon which spice the fragrance bring some spontaneous charm for men, very contemporaneous and soft, with spicy and incense undertones which also balance the strenght of woody notes on the base and the discrete smoothness of the cacao.


It is important to mention that when the iris is involved by the lavender , this combination separates and joins, contradictorily,the power of Dior Homme. The lavender relaxes the formality but not places the man as a sport man, focused on a citrus or very informal fragrant approach, so it collaborates to the classicism of the fragrance, avoiding the secundary effect of the iris. The iris also, with this combination, carries the skin odour to the leathery accord, not rustic as this note works on others based-leather fragrances.


There is no doubts that Dior Homme is a well-done fragrance in comparison to the simple-minded male perfumes released on the perfumery industry. The best of all is that the fragrance keeps a logical implementation between Dior Homme by itself and the designer's description. Wearing Dior Homme, men have a classic beauty and classic attitude refreshed for the new centuries. It makes me remind of emerging young and mature men who are connected to the business and personal needs of the modern times and , because of that, are very successful in everything they work and invest hard. This valuable and attractive behaviour make women be interested in them as a special scent in the air.

Finally, the fragrance achieve the idea of being a modern classic for the comtemporaneity because the iris is very well-mixed to some oriental and fresh undertones with Polge creativity and dress the men as they were heirs of unforgettable vintage men as Clark Gable. So, if you, modern man, don't give a damm for those who criticize the old and good iris , enjoy Dior Homme. I recommend it!

Celebrity Perfume Reviews: Live & Live Luxe, Jennifer Lopez

Dia destes tive um desejo a la celebrity. Quis porque quis comprar as fragrâncias de J. Lo, ao menos alguma que me agradasse. Provavelmente um trauma por não ter comprado Jennifer Lopez Miami Glow(edição limitada) enquanto ele existia no Brasil e um "castigo" por ter ignorado as fragrâncias de celebridades por um bom período. O saldo final foi a trilogia Live, Live Luxe e Live Platinum , cujos lindos frascos pesaram na decisão da compra e foram direto pro meu armário, com direito a usar Live por uma semana consecutiva e um pós-trauma seguido do famoso kill the drama ao olhar a fatura de cartão de crédito. Talvez eu pensei que minha conta bancária era fosse igual a de uma celebridade(haha)...

Já que eu tenho alguns Live, sempre gostei de J. Lo e muitas recordações de danças com Remixes by Jennifer Lopez, resolvi um dia incorporar a "celebrity" que quer sair pra dançar: salto alto, vestidinho sexy, cabelão brilhante, makeup e todo o glam que faz as mulheres se olharem no espelho e dizerem:"Sou poderosa, estou fabulosa! Vou arrasar na pista ! ".A latinidade, tão comum, por aqui fez com que eu dissesse: "Não, nada de fragrâncias muito sérias, nada de fragrâncias clássicas para a balada, tenho que incorporar o lado latin way of being, ser uma espécie de J. Lo ao ritmo do dançar intensamente, dançar com Live para revigorar a própria vida" Daí, outro drama : "Com que Live eu vou?".

Live e Live Luxe são fragrâncias florais frutais e têm um apelo alegre e jovem, relacionada à dança, o famoso "living to be dancing". Em uma pista de dança, surge uma luz amarela e lá está Live, dançando com uma entrada de notas de abacaxi, esta nota é mais ainda açucarada em virtude de uma outra luz vermelha que se mistura a ela, a própria groselha vermelha e então as luzes vão girando e girando e lá está Live, vibrante, suando na pele a tal ponto de desaparecer um pouco mais o doce, baixando a fixação do perfume mas ainda dando entrada a um caramelo e tonka bean mais estáveis na base. Um caramelo insinuante, como o bronzeado de uma pele latina, enlouquecendo olhos àvidos na pista da balada noturna.


Live Luxe já tem uma outra face, considerado o "remix de Live", exalta a dança e o luxo segundo o conceito. Lembra-me muito mais uma balada mais vespertina, talvez Miami e seus coquetéis tropicais entre moçoilas em cangas com seus corpinhos enxutos, em um ambiente até luxuoso mas, não necessariamente , a fragrância é um luxo. Não acho Live Luxe um aroma de luxo; cheiro de luxo pra mim não se insere em uma categoria floral frutal, principalmente com o blending super frutal que esta fragrância apresenta . Digo isso por que Live Luxe tem uma entrada com um aroma super a la mango . Mangas, muitas mangas...embora a composição não leve a fruta. Evoca muito mais uma mistura de salada de fruta e ponche sem alcóol e, praticamente, qualquer mulher desejará pegar uma taça e ir para a pista soltar uns passos de salsa, embebedar-se com a música e, quem sabe, ser um luxo no baile.

Basicamente, são perfumes docinhos e sem grandes diferenciais olfativos a não ser o fato de ter frutas e frutas que, de tão doces, irão açucarar a sua pele e a sua vida, motivando -lhe a sair dançando por aí. As flores servem para criar um efeito mais estável no doce das frutas, evitando que você pareça carregar uma delas na cabeça, em plena pista de dança. Em Live, o meu favorito por ser mais "adulto", a base é menos frutal, mais harmônica e sedosa com influência de tonka bean. Já em Live Luxe, a fragrância ainda vibra muito mais o frutal, o diurno e o almiscarado ambarino clássico de tantos florais frutais do mercado. Considero-as, dentro do rol de fragrâncias de celebridades, opções que valem a pena provar, mas não espere perfumes que parem a pista a olhar somente para quem o usa. Na verdade,quem o usa terá que pará-la com uma boa dança.

Apesar do ritmo de cada fragrância, a proposta é bem alinhada a este lado enérgico e jovial de garotas que querem somente um perfume sem propósitos hipnóticos como os clássicos perfumes de balada, como Dior Hypnotic Poison e outros abaunilhados e orientais. Neste sentido, acho tanto Live quanto Live Luxe bem relacionados a este lado mais "intimista" , de simplesmente ter uma fragrância energizante que não seja para refrescar-se, chamar à atenção e/ou flertar. É exatamente a parole " Vou sair só pra dançar e não com a finalidade única de paquerar e ser paquerada". O aroma fica feminino e bem "zero vanilla doll". O docinho será o da fruta que só você sabe que tem. Então, sweetie, vá mostrar sua doçura na pista e simplesmente viva to Live.

Some months ago I had a wish a la celebrity. I wanted because I wanted to buy the fragrances of J. Lo, at least, one that would please me. Probably a trauma because I had not bought Jennifer Lopez Miami Glow(limited edition) while it still existed in Brazil and also a " punishment" for having ignored the celebrity fragrances for a good long time. The final balance was to get the trilogy Live, Live Luxe and Live Platinum , whose beautiful bottles had a weight on my purchase decision and then, went directly to my closet, moreover I wore Live in a non-stop way for one week and had a post-trauma followed by the famous kill the drama when I looked at my credit card invoice. Perhaps I had thought that my bank account was something similar as celebrities bank accounts (LOL)...

Considering that I have some Live, always like J. Lo and have many dance memories with the her Remixes , I made the decision to embody the "celebrity" that wishes to go out for a dance: high heels shoes, sexy dress, long bright hair, make-up and all the glam that make the women look at the mirror and just say: "I am powerful, I look fabulous! I will rock on the dance floor!". The latinity in my veins, so common here made me say: " No, Nothing of serious fragrances, nothing of classical fragrances wore in night parties, I wanted to dress my latin way of being, being a type of J. Lo in a intense dance rhythm , dancing with Live to revigorate my own life". So other drama : "What is the Live I wear to go dancing?"


Live and Live Luxe are floral fruity fragrances and have a joyful and young approach, related to the dance passion, the famous "living to be dancing". In one dance floor , it appears one yellow light and there is Live, dancing with an opening of pineapple note; this note is sugarier due to other red light that comes to Live, the red currant and then the lights move and move and Live keeps there, vibranting, perspiring on the skin in such way of disappearing a little more its sweetness, decreasing the long lasting of the fragrance but yet opening the caramel and tonka bean , more stable on the base. A insinuating caramel as the tanned on a latin skin, hallucinating the avid eyes in the dance floor of the night party.


Live Luxe has another face, it is considering the "remix of Live", evokes the dance and the luxury according to its concept. It reminds me more of a vespertine dance party, maybe in Miami and its tropical cocktails among woman with their shaped bodies envolved by their beach jackets , in one environment that may be luxurious but, not necessarialy, the fragrance is de luxe. I don't think that Live Luxe smell luxury; luxury smell for me is not included in one floral fruity olfactive family, mainly with the super frutal blending that Live Luxe presents by itself. I tell you that because the fragrance has an opening scented as a la mango .
Mango, many mangos... although the composition does not feature this note. It evokes much more a mix of fruits salad and ponche without alcohol and, practically, any woman will desire to get a glass and go to the dance floor and the, some steps to the salsa, being intoxicated by the song and who knows, being a luxe in the ball.

Basically, they are sweety fragrances and without big olfactive features unless the fact that having fruits and fruits that, obsviouly will sugar your skin and your life, motivating you go dancing. The flowers perform to create a steady effect on the fruits sweetness, avoiding that you seem to carry one of the fruits on your head. In Live, my favorite of them is more "adult", the base is less frutal, more harmonic and soft influenced by the tonka bean. In Live Luxe, the fragrance still vibrates much more the frutal scent, the diurnal and the classic musk of so many floral fruity in the market. I think the fragrances, in the roll of celebrity fragrances, worth to be sampled , but don't expect perfumes will direct the attention for those who wear them.
