Não há caminho, mas sempre perfumes/ There is no walk, but always perfumes

Queridos(as) leitores

Qual o cheiro destas belezas? Quando eu voltar, vocês me contam.

Saudações perfumadas, Cris Rosa Negra

Caminante, son tus huellas
el camino, y nada mas;
Caminante, no hay camino,
se hace camino al andar.
Al andar se hace camino,
y al volver la vista atrás s
e ve la senda que
nunca
se ha de volver a pisar.
Caminante, no hay camino,

sino estelas en la mar.

Dear readers,

Perfume da Rosa Negra Blog is back in September, 02nd, more fragrant as always. I will be wandering on the life road, making my own way as I go, as said by the poeta Antonio Machado. Inspiration, emotion, contemplation, freedom in eacn footsteep I hope to bring you new scents and feelings... There is no road, but always perfumes. I let you there the poetry of
Antonio Machado (English translated but you can read the original version in Spanish above) and some photos of Brazilian nature, those were taken in one of my ways. How are the smell of these beauties? When I am back, you tell me it.

Fragrant Greetings, Cris Rosa Negra

Wanderer, the only way
is your footsteps, there is no other.
Wanderer, there is no way,

you make the way as you go.
As you go, you make the way
and stopping to look behind,

you see the path that
your feet
will never travel again.
Wanderer, there is no way

only foam trails in the sea.

Querido diário, eu ainda desejo o perfume dele / Dear diary, I still wish his perfume

eu queria o perfume dele, eu queria ele.

(The notebook movie)

(English Version - I wished his perfume and still wish again)

There are people that are like perfumes. Their scents have lingered for years, sometimes forever, no matter how much time has passed, scents have remained in our minds, hearts, bodies and souls, touching us deeply in the profoundest of our self. Unconditional love or passion, impossibles loves to be come to pass and be a real and reciprocal feeling have an aroma of contradictions. It may be fascinanting and boring, sweet and bitter, delightful and painful, real and ideal.

He has this perfume and his scent has lingered for years, a perfume of my love dreams, but so real. I tried to not recall memories of his perfume every year, I swear, Dear God and always felt this perfume on my skin, on my body extremely involved by this pleasure, but also there were smiles and tears. There were moments that I hated this aroma, affecting my entire life, better and worse... its notes had astonishing nuances such as a flashback movie of our few moments together
, so important and unique for me, so nostalgic.

I closed my eyes, trying to remind of his perfume, top notes with his
almond-shaped eyes, sweet eyes honey-coloured, his bright smile; heart notes with his genteelness, his beauty, his friendship that enchanted my heart and basenotes were him, completely him, notes that I tried to sustain in my life, keeping them alive, passionately in love. I didn't want to lose these olfactory memories of a love, a passion or whatever, but I wished his perfume, I wished him.

I gave him my olfaction and my heart without anything in return...unconditionally, but in the bottom of my heart there were hopes of being loved in return, the insane hope of the dreamers, artists, poets. The hopefulness for the perfume which is able to fit to a better half as a cap that seals a fragrance bottle.
A perfume for my life, body and soul like those unforgettable love stories, those that neither time and distance nor any other circumstance is able to interfere them. I wished his perfume, I wished him.

I wished his perfume, no matter when, how and where, no matter if someone would be pleased or not with, the perfume would be only him and me, just us, however the aroma seemed to go away , comings and goings, the perfume followed me and stood back. I didn't know if I laughted or cried, if I hated or loved him, if I followed him or stood back from him. A captivating perfume, but hard to find, hard to join our hearts and all senses.

And in my youthful dreams of an adult woman, I remembered that it would be possible to have the perfume, to belong to him, each other
. I remembered that he was the diary of my life like the notebook by Nicholas Sparks (book and movie) and, then, I remembered of Noah Calhoun and Allison Nelson making promise evoking their love and loyalty each other, fragrant words that I wished him to confess them staring me in the eyes and so did I "you are every reason, every hope, and every dream ive ever had, and no matter what happens to us in the future, everyday we are together is the greatest day of my life. I will always be yours, and darling, you will always be mine"

The perfume, even distant, came to me closer. His aroma floated on the air, I smelt it in a open-hearted way, nearly mesmerized by old memories and subtle hopes but suddenly, a bitter note possessed him, unexpected nuances. A supposed desire of breaking the full bottle, pouring the perfume out, making it disappear was unavoidable... but my feeling for him is unconditional. "Oh God, why?" - I cried inside, a peaceful cry of a mature woman, half a young girl half an adult lady . But after I thought: " Usually we don't choose who we like or love as well as perfumes, love just happens".

What complex perfume! An intriguing smell and so it reminded me of the Notebook again
"
follow your heart because even though it’s on the left, it’s always right."... I follow my heart , I follow his perfume . He will be always a special perfume, unique and exclusive, it will be my perfume with the pros and cons, but always my perfume, my diary, my passion and my real dream of a notebook story...simply unforgettable.

Do not worry
Nothing is ever lost or can be lost
the body is sluggish, aged and cold
the ember is left from earlier fires until the flame again

Perfume, Literature & Cinema: Carpe Diem each perfume/ Carpe Diem cada perfume

Perfumer: Open your senses - open them! Now, smell the scent! Describe me what you feel
Perfumista: Abra seus olhos - abra-os! Agora, sinta o aroma! Descreva me o que sente

Cris: I smell the scent and I see I am still in a cage... but there is fragrant slightly sweet and clear aroma in the air and I see a blue image far away, feel a will to fly away on this sky

Perfumer: Beautiful! but are you still in a cage?

Cris: Yes, I am afraid of being here and not enjoy my carpe diem, however this scent is opening the cage with a key which seems a cap of a perfume bottle. That its! The bottle has been opened, smelling an ethereal, transparent aura that brings me some peace and freedom and then a image of a marvellous white dove is beside me

Perfumer: That is stunning! Now, describe me this white dove, what is it doing?

Cris: Its eyes are colourful like a rainbow, its smell has white roses and musk... so delicate and the scent is blending with mine, now we are just one smell flavoured by nuances of violets petals, subtle red fruits, vanillic and ambery woody notes that fascinates me. The white dove opens its wings and look at my eyes making my life full of colours and hopes.

Perfumer: How splendid image and sensations! Brilliant!
Perfumista: Que esplêndida imagem e sensações! Brilhante!

Cris: And the white dove opens the door's cage and I am transported to a scented world where I am free

Perfumer: How is this world?
Perfumista: Como é este mundo?

Cris: The world of the art perfumery... Real and imaginary, scented by my perfume, the perfume of my life. The perfume of my desires, my memories, my emotions, the perfume of myself, the perfume of my own world.

Perfumer: Stay with your fragrant world . Tell me more about this personal perfume world, its smells.

Cris: My own fragrant world is extraordinary, scents from all over the world, no limits because I am a bird that flies and any scent is part of the sky. I smell the sunrise and the sunset, the day and the night, the happiness and the sadness. I smell the inspiration. A fragrant world where I am sumptuous and delicate, always oriental, sweet, floral, chypre, spicy and woody but also my wings embrance all the notes freely. From the moment I was born to the moment I will die, smells will be my life, crying and laughing, sleeping and being awake, dreaming and loving, opening all my senses I capture smells everydays. I fly to my fragrant carpe diem sky, where the world is my world. Each fragrant moment is unique so carpe diem my world of perfumes, carpe diem each scent, each perfume and then, I carpe diem myself.

Perfumer: You will never forget this, fragrant Cris.
Perfumista: você nunca se esquecerá disto, Cris perfumada.

Perfect Kiss, Creative Scentualization

Lembrei-me da minha canção inesquecível Kissing you cantada por Des´ree e parte da trilha sonora do filme Romeo and Julieta.

Aqui, a perfeição é o beijo ideal, o ideal do momento do beijar.

Kissing You - Desree

English Version - Fragrance review Perfect Kiss , Creative Scentualization)

Perfect Kiss, a fragrance of Sarah Horowitz Parfums is one of the Perfect Perfumes collection created by Sarah Horowitz-Thran, founder and parfumer of her own niche perfume house Creative Scentualization in California (USA). This collection has 13 fragrances created to balance scent of natural florals, innovative interpretations of classicals and , beautifully , mirror the use of refined materials, including them in a blending with distinguishable sillage of perfumes cult. Sarah features a range of options in signature fragrances such as Perfect perfumes collection, perfume palettes, candles, crèmes and customized fragrances.
One of most amazing Sarah Horowitz parfums work as a perfume house is the Fragrance Journey, in which each customer accompanies Sarah and her gentle perfumer Marlene Stang in a Journey to develop signature fragrance, reviving personal memories and evoking senses and emotions. Absolutely, a must have olfactory journey that each perfume lover dreams about as a trip in search of the fabulous smell. Aromas are blended and result in a unique fragrance that represents oneself

Before sampling Perfect Kiss, I imagined what would be a perfect kiss and I reminded of classical kisses such as the sailor and the nurse on the photograph of Eisenstaedts above . I reminded of those memorable kisses played on movies such as the Titanic kissing scene of Leonardo di Caprio and Kate Linstey and The Notebook movie kissing scene of Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams. I reminded of my unforgettable song Kissing you soundtrack of Romeo and Juliet movie sung by Des´ree, a perfect music to kiss a passionate Romeo or Juliet. I reminded of wedding kisses, after ceremony words "Yes I do, I promise you my life from this day forward". I thought of the first real perfect kiss that any woman expects once a lifetime ( and hardly it is the first kiss in teenager times). I thought of what was my perfect kiss until now, I thought where is the perfect love with the perfect kiss. I thought of a farewell kiss. I thought of the first and unique kiss and better, I thought of the kiss that will come, the more perfect than one before.

Before visiting this perfume, I imagined which would be memories and insights that come the perfumer ideas up to create the fragrance; because it is not easy to interprete new concepts to produce a fragrance named Perfect kiss. The perfect kiss is upon each one perspective: a good kiss for me may be bad for you. There are kisses that allure the most wonderful feelings and consequences or cause the worst reactions, however the idea of perfect is always perfect , no matter the opinion. It sounds strange and uncoherent, but it is not.

Here, the perfection is the ideal kiss, the ideal of the kissable moment. A kiss of adorable intimacy, more than physical, a moment of sharing true sensations and emotions as layering a perfume over and over and be excited by all senses which are together and work well for a pleasant and memorable kiss.

Perfect Kiss is a romantic and sensual fragrance that opens delicate and intoxicating notes of night blooming Jasmin, a jasmin that blooms during the night and a delicious, sweet honeysuckle. The top notes are interesting to my nose because not result in a more floral scent like the Night Blooming Jasmine of Bath Body Works as I had imagined it before, Perfect Kiss aroma is more indulgent, probably because of the sweetness honeysuckle.
In few minutes, the fragrance features a composition that slowly is warmed by heart notes sandalwood and amber and here is the stunning moment of my olfactory experience, the moment when Perfect Kiss kisses me deeply, the softness and the creaminess of the sillage, a sensual trail and desire to smell myself, kissing my own skin or my reflection in the mirror, be hugged and kissed. The creamy effect is sensual and caring and poisons any kiss with the sensuality of the chocolate that cools the skin . It is like a kiss that is so good that it is expected to last forever. Those kisses that are romantic, gentle and at the same time, move the imaginary for sexy attitudes, still keeping the track on romantism.

The fragrance is an adorable choice for romantic women who are sensual, but not that type of unspontaneous voluptuousness, but the natural one. Perfect kiss has this natural balance of olfactive floral notes typically romantic and warmy, sweety and ambery notes typically alluring. In spite of this olfactive balance, the perfume still maintains its sillage for intimate moments. Those ones that there are no limits to fall for, those ones that the world seems stopping its time and only the lovers souls, unconditionally love and be loved, no matter the social and personal influences, the love is perfect, blindness as always, but a personal perfection of love. Then, kiss and be kissed in return as love and be loved in return, both at the same level is the moment of Perfect Kiss fragrance.

Smelling the perfume, I paint a vision of a beautiful and classical sculpture of Rodin, THE KISS. Aesthetically, it´s overly romantic at first sight, the positions of the bodies, harmonious forms, the delightful image of a perfect kiss is evident. Later when the fragrance development starts to warm notes of ambery chocolate I reminds of a perfect honeymoon where love may be sensually and sexually poetical and then I joined THE KISS of Rodin with pleasures. The nude bodies exhibit love and desire, suggesting a sensualist piece of art . This sculpture paints my vision of a moment when both lovers give each other their spirits, souls and bodies to share one entire life, eternal as a classical masterpiece. Their souls become nuder, because one choose each other to live together for a perfect kiss, following by perfect kisses and kisses as a love story.

Kiss me, sweetheart
the most perfect kiss
Kiss me, kiss me
and whisper in my ears
our lovely dreams
that now come true
now exist only you and me

Kiss me, sweetheart
the most perfect kiss
kiss me, kiss me
and smell sweet flowers on me
the pleasure of our nude bodies
that now come true
now exist only you and me

Kiss me, kiss me
tenderly, intensely, sensually
kiss me, kiss me
the most perfect kiss
you and me, a real bliss

Our love is
a piece of art
so beautifully
so eternally
as our kiss
Love me, kiss me
so deeply a kiss that lingers
kiss me
the most fragrant kiss

" They do not seem to believe in their happiness
and their song mingles with moonlight "(Clair de Lune, Paul Verlaine)

I am here again to tell you the release of one more articles series about perfumes at Perfume da Rosa Negra blog, I will make avalaible you reviews about Perfume Advertisings. These writings won't be related to fragrance reviews because the approach is different. As you have realized, my fragrances reviews are about the fragrance development and composition and its dialogues among various meanings or representations, personal or collective such culture, ideas, concepts, emotions and senses.

In these posts, the focus is the perfume advertising which is a form of communication that influences consumers to buy and consume a product or service. Here the issue is perfume, however also the approach is not to acting as marketing, but exposure a point of view. The work materials will be not be limited: TV commercials, campaigns Ads, advertising in magazines, newspapers or any media. My writing style will be kept, I mean, think staying ahead of the curve, nothing cold or rational, keep bringing music, visual arts, cinema and above all my personal opinion based on emotions from a perfumery researcher and lover for aromas and fragrances.

I selected Chanel No. 5 commercial The film, written, produced and directed by Baz Luhrmann, also director of Moulin Rouge movie. Chanel No. 5 commercial is perfomed by the Australian actress Nicole Kidman and the Brazilian actor Rodrigo Santoro.
Welcome to each perfume advertising, always together you and me!

(Watch the commercial before continuing your reading)

For those, who watched the movie Moulin Rouge, the love between Satine, the famous courtesan and the poet Christian, respectively, played by Nicole Kidman e Ewan McGregor may comprehend completely that any sameness is the pure reality, also more when both were produced by the same director . The commercial reminds me a mix between Moulin Rouge and Nothing Hil, this last with Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant in reference to a famous actress fells for an ordinary man.

There is no doubts , this TV commercial is a love story, a fairy tale of Chanel which cost millions of dollars to renew Chanel nº 5 image . The perfume is one of the most classic love stories of the world perfumery, so classic that required an innovative branding with Nicole Kidman´s refinement ( the elegant and successful celebrity, the classical) and the emergent Rodrigo Santoro ( the potential celebrity , still unknow as the role of commercial poet, the modern). In this age, the actor was still starting his success in United States. Again there is no doubt there was a good choice to renew the perfume romance between its loyal consumers and pontential ones, moreover a beautiful love pair as inspiration.

Even though the idea was not innovative when we think about a famous woman , lonely in the middle of the crowd and even being a celebrity, she feels the need for something that fulls her emptiness, that moves her to the anonymity and make her to love freely, love an ordinary man. I confess that Chanel was perfect emerging two important aspects in the commercial: the music Clair de Lune and the figure of the poet in reference to the literature.

Clair de Lune of the French pianist Claude Debussy is one of the most beautiful and lyrical masterpieces of classical music, so timeless such as Chanel nº 5. The French composer was one the artists who opened the transition between Romanticism and Modernism in classical music, then emerging this idea now, Chanel advertises a classical perfume, which was milestone in perfumery, still characterized by modernity, expressing a mix of emotions , imagination and innovation which are a legacy of these art movements. A perfume which is not old fashionable as many consumers think, but can be wear as a contemporary Chanel nº 5.

Clair de Lune (moonlight in English) is also a poem of the French Literature (Symbolism period), written by Paul Verlaine. This artistic and intellectual movement was also part of Claude Debussy works. Clair de Lune of Verlaine evokes magical verses of the Literature as well as the poet of the commercial. On the highest of the city both lovers meet each other under the moonlight.

" They do not seem to believe in their happiness
and their song mingles with moonlight "(Clair de Lune, Paul Verlaine)

In the timeless of so many arts such classical perfumery, music and literature we find Classicals such as Chanel nº 5, Clair de Lune of Debussy and Clair de Lune of Verlaine, we find the return to the classicals. We find the perfume.

Now, listen the beauty of piano piece Clair de Lune of Debussy, close your eyes and remember her (his), kiss, smile and perfume.

Tam Dao, Diptyque

Eu pintei a visão e as nuances deste perfume.
E eu, Van Gogh e Tam Dao estamos lá.

(English Version - Tam Dao, Dyptique Paris)

Tam Dao, fragrance of the French Perfume House Diptyque was launched in 2003 and designed by Daniel Moliere. It has a memorable and beautiful simplicity and grace among fragrances which belong to its olfactory group. Basically, it is a green woody perfume ornamented with subtle and refined blending of valuable woods accords and an unusual drydown of sandalwood. Tam Dao includes notes of rosewood, cypress wood, ambergris and sandalwood.

The beauty of Tam Dao as an art in fragrance design is the aura that evokes a pleasant smell of simplicty with elegance bearing in mind the characteristics of its woody notes. The creativeness of blending dark woods of these typical trees transforming their darkness into clearness is a wonder to my nose , fragrant spirit and critic. Definitely, a light and
clean fragrance, terrifically transparent in contrast to the natural heaviness of woody perfumes is the richness of Tam Dao.

A spray of Tam Dao on my skin and my immediate feeling is a strangeness, a herbal woody facet which smells a little strong to my olfaction, but the smell is here and I let Tam Dao guide my sensations. The heavy scent of the top heady is Rosewood, a dark reddish wood; later these accords of a green woodiness start to develop to a relaxing smell.

A peaceful feeling of smelling Tam Dao explores my bucolic sensations. Suddenly I am in a unknown place, never visited again, quite silence just feeling the breath of the wind and the smell of the nature. A subtle and captivating sillage takes places and then an irresistible touch of ambergris warmed up my skin, making me remember that the nature embraces me, fragrant trees hold me.

The enchanting ambergris, really evident for those who are familiarized with this note and very used on East perfumery attracts me more and more to this Diptyque olfactory tour that celebrate the adorable Oriental perfumery, leading me to a interesting niche perfume discovery. Besides, diverse nuances of woody notes capture the essence of the original Tam Dao in South-East Asia, a diverse place of precious trees. The ambergris lingers for a short time, however enough to express etherealy the splendor of this oriental note in a parisian perfume. Later on the drydown, there is an explosion of sandalwood as clean as the others woody notes, very relaxing and not prominent as usual on perfumery.

Tam Dao was an olfactory experience that brought to me the image of nature, not a wild one but the impression of a simple and calm nature, a impression of a Van Gogh's paiting, The Cypress Trees. I was transported to these times of my beloved Post-Impressionism painter. It was not only because of his paiting and woods and trees images on my mind, but because of Van Gogh life.

He painted in a frenetic form, quite visceral exploring all his profound emotions , uncontrolled strokes to escape from his wildness, solitude and madness. His paitings are simple like Tam Dao fragrance but are able to capture the expression of the woods. His mind was tormented and then, I imagined that Tam Dao would bring him the relaxing property of sandalwood, the green beauty of the cypress trees, the sweetness and strength of rosewood. I thought of Van Gogh.

Tam Dao was inspired by some Asiatic place, then I remembered that Van Gogh found some peace in something related to Asia. He loved the japanese art, its simple compositions however produced by the oriental intensity. I remembered that Van Gogh would never cut a part of his own ear if he had smelt Tam Dao certainly the perfume would bring him some joy and tranquility, his spirits would be given a new vigor, a new life and would refresh his suffering soul.

Smelling Tam Dao and thinking of Van Gogh was a scaping dream that possessed me. I painted a vision and nuances of this perfume. The Cypress trees are there and I was walking calmy near to them, wearing Tam Dao, feeling the woodiness sillage , the serenity and some inspiration to feel peace in my soul. The walking lasted a good time for a delicate green woodiness fragrance and it was amused the earthiness of grass while contemplating the impression of being part of a Van Gogh's painting.

The first whiff was like a step to these art worlds: perfumery and paiting. and I, Van Gogh and Tam Dao are there.
